An appropriate introduction to the about me page where you get to learn about your unqualified author, me…Aaron. The basics: my name is Aaron, I’m a Philly kid, live in the city, and am a student at Temple University. I’m not a film major and I don’t have acting credentials. I’m not even a model if you can believe that. To put it simply: I love movies. Drama, western, comedy, I don’t care, just let me watch. There’s millions of blogs and sites on the internets (it’s a series of tubes!) that review movies and I know this is just another one out there, but hopefully if you visit here, you’ll find something useful when you’re thinking of going to the theater or ready to rent from Blockbuster.

My goal: review every movie I see from here on, on this very site.

My other goal: Since I am unqualified (as noted) and can’t get screenings to movies every week, I’ll try to take most days trying to review movies from the past. From Dumb and Dumber to Pans Labyrinth to everything else in between, I’m hoping to review it. I hope that a while from now, the archives on this site are deep, very deep.

**Reality for that goal: not going to happen, sadly

It’s true as you’ll see in my reviews and lists of movies I see that I go more for “mainstream” or bigger films as opposed to the low budget, lower on the Hollywood radar “Indie” films that don’t get the buzz. I accept that truth with welcome arms: I fully love the movies that I see but think people often look past the rare originality and brilliance that some mainstream movies portray. However, as I mentioned, I do live in the city and am very, very close to the Ritz Theaters where Indie-esque movies are shown. I will make it another mini-goal of mine to see more of those.

With that, I hope you enjoy the site. I greatly encourage your feedback, agreement or criticism of my reviews, I welcome all of it. Again, enjoy…and I think I’ll go watch a movie…
